Jungle Jim's To Be Hollywood Movie Set
As you look between the imported beers and exotic spices on your next trip to Jungle Jim's International Market in Fairfield, you just may find yourself in the front row of a Hollywood set. Owner "Jungle" Jim Bonaminio has just inked a deal with Red Love Film to turn his extravagant grocery store into a soundstage of sorts. Red Love Film plans to shoot much of their independent film joy on location at the store.
The film's screenwriter and co-producer Julie Marie Hassett, esq. has local ties to the community, having grown up in Butler County and attending Badin High School. Hassett says joy is a family friendly film, with a lot of heart. "I could think of no better place to have a film convey that kind of message, than here in my own hometown." The premise for the movie is three sisters learning about the meaning of life while shopping for the funeral wake of a loved one.
Most of the cast for the movie will be flying in from New York and California, however there will be opportunities for local folks to "get in on the act." Casting dates for extras are yet to be announced. Local restaurants will also have an opportunity to get their name in logo in the film by contacting Red Love Film about a crucial festival scene.
It is important to note that part of the profits from this Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) sanctioned film will go to a charity to benefit children waiting to be adopted. It is believed that no other SAG film that is a feature has ever done that before. Principal photography for the film starts in just a few days.
